Whistler Mens Skeleton World Cup

February 5th, 2009 at 11:22 pm by Greg · 3 Comments

Tonight I went and watched the Skeleton World Cup event being held here in Whistler. It is amazing how fast those guys and girls actually travel.

Canadian Jon Montgomery came 1st with a combined time of 1:47.67 for his two runs, Switzerland’s Gregor Staehli came second and with fellow Canadian Jeff Pain claiming a tie for 3rd with American Matthew Antoine. Jeff Pain was actually the fastest man down after the first run, so it was a great day for Canada !!

Wow! That is fast! Must be even more impressive up close.

Coming up on Mar 1 and just got the long range update through Mar 8. Looks very promising. I have found that the Brett Anderson Blog is pretty accurate for long term trends. Optimistic reading for sure! Click on Brett Anderson and long range update.
