Big storm day for late March, the winds at the Roundhouse were consistently strong and the visibility was poor. Plenty of good snow though, and I enjoyed lapping Green and Red chair (alpine closed because of the winds/visibility) but found the snow turned heavy towards the bottom of Garbanzo.

Tokum Tokum

This is where my legs fatigued from the heavier snow :(

Not that it was a bad day – quite the opposite. Once you got below the winds, the visibility was better and the skiing fantastic until you hit the heavier snow – so I guess around 500 vertical meters of the good stuff.

It was fun to be skiing again, and I hope they manage to open the alpine early tomorrow as I may have to work the afternoon!!

I’ve missed your reports, what, all work no play lately.? I’m excited to see there’s still plenty of good snow. We will be over in a week to carve it up.

Yup, that thing called work certainly gets in the way of a good time!

Today (30th) should be epic, looking forward to getting into Spankys.

Has the peak been open yet? It’s right now 8:20 on Tuesday and the bombs are going off with another fresh at least 10cm overnight. It’s gonna be a great one for those on the mountain. The conditions in the village are kind of hurting right now though.
