I head out today about 10am. I did a b-line for the peak chair and skied Whistler Bowl. Whistler bowl typically has a lot of bumps and it was no different, though there was a solid 10cm over top of the bumps. However, the visibility was TERRIBLE! It wasn't so bad as you traversed under the lift to north face low and surprise, the snow was great. Fresh untouched pow. A couple laps on the Harmony horseshoes, McConkeys and Gun Barrels were phenomenal. Gun barrels was especially great! Sun bowl, the vis. was so bad it's not even worth doing. It was dust over mogul crust. Not too fun! But a couple laps in the Symphony amphitheater were for sure worth it. Glacier bowl on Whistler heading back down to the village was AWESOME too. I was in by 1pm and it was a great day. Not too many people on the mountain either. I’ll share what’s going on up there.
