Another day of skiing powder and not having to wait for a chair
Both Peak and Red chairs were sending up empty chairs again, on a 10cm day the week before Xmas.

Monday, December 20th, 2010The real amazing news is the lack of people – there appeared to be more empty chairs on the Peak Chair than there were with people on them. Even Red Chair was only about a 1 minute wait.
Snowing in the Morning then Bluebird Afternoon
Sunday, December 19th, 2010Unfortunately I didn’t get up the mountains today – but it looked like a good one. It snowed all morning and then it cleared up in the afternoon which would have resulted in perfect visibility.
Start of the Xmas Period
Saturday, December 18th, 2010Today marks the start of ‘full’ operations with the opening of Symphony chair, and the Tube Park.
They groomed plenty of runs, including Lower Dave Murray, which is now open for skiing out to Creekside. I actually skied it myself and it was awesome – it was better than mid-mountain due to all the snow making guns blazing away in the cold temps, it was a quasi powder run ![]()
