The Sun comes out and Exposes the left over Powder

Today was mainly sunny, therefore fantastic visibility – so all the pow stashes left from yesterday became free game. While not in the same league as yesterday, the skiing today was great. Plenty of big pockets of pow around.

Another ‘Day’ of the Season

Such a good day! The morning started off bluebird, and we got a couple of great laps on Red chair. The snow was close to perfect, and every bomb going off brought another smile to our faces.

Stormy Day

Monday, March 29th, 2010

Big storm day for late March, the winds at the Roundhouse were consistently strong and the visibility was poor. Plenty of good snow though, and I enjoyed lapping Green and Red chair (alpine closed because of the winds/visibility) but found the snow turned heavy towards the bottom of Garbanzo.

Sunshine and Gold

Today was nothing but sunshine, and it was damn hot! Even at the peak of Blackcomb (well not the actual peak) it was hot. Definitely a day for minimal clothing and zippers undone. No powder to speak of, but decent quality snow on the steeps, while a little hard packed on the groomers (from the overnight thaw / freeze).
