I thought you might like to know that it is currently a mixture and snow and rain in the valley. Has been for an hour or two, so there might be some decent skiing on the mountains.

Snowing in the Valley

Tuesday, April 21st, 2009The last week has been mainly overcast with patches of precipitation – rain in the valley with snow on the mountain. Surprisingly, the freezing levels were quite low, and we almost got snow all the way to the valley. Personally, I am glad it didn’t snow, as the rain helped clear the ground and bring on biking season
More Sunshine and Hotter Temps
Wednesday, April 15th, 2009Today was nowhere near as nice as yesterday, but there is still some decent (and fresh) snow to be found. Once again I was on Blackcomb, due to prior commitments and once again I found the glacier to be the spot to be. Also Spankys and the Crystal zone were worth a visit.

Tuesday, April 14th, 2009Before I write too much, I should mention we received around 20cm of snow in the previous 24 hours (would have been mentioned if I did a report for yesterday). Unfortunately I didn’t make it up yesterday, because the snow is quality and it would have been awesome !!

I still haven’t skied as I spent yesterday in Squamish biking again. Then a trip to the pub left me in no state to ski today.
