Such a good day! The morning started off bluebird, and we got a couple of great laps on Red chair. The snow was close to perfect, and every bomb going off brought another smile to our faces :D

Mike certainly enjoyed the deep powder today.

The alpine was closed yesterday, so we knew it was loaded with a lot of fresh snow. Even when the clouds rolled in (bringing more flurries) and the visibility dropped a little, we knew it would be epic. Check out these two guys drooling over a couple of ski patrol tracks down the front of the Peak chair. They were there a while, as I saw them while riding Red chair – had time to unload, move to the side and take the picture AND they still looked they had no intention of going anywhere.

We had intended to head over to Spankys on Blackcomb, but we lucked out with the Peak chair. Only a couple of people had managed to get close to skiing back to the lift by the time we were riding it. I had the best run ever down Whistler Bowl – I skied it pretty much close to fall line for the first time, enjoying falling through the deep snow :D We then headed to Grand Finale to find some more ‘best ever’ conditions. To top it off, only a handful of tracks in front of us and I had no problem skiing a fresh line.

So yeah, what a day! Here is a short video of Mike in the trees.

Hey Greg hope u have been having a great season and an awsome day today. How is the village ski out looking much snow there? And how is the alpine sounds pretty crazy can’t wait to get over there

    • Greg says:

I haven’t skied out to the village for a while, but the last few pitches of Peak to Creek is pretty bare. I presume the other ski outs will soon be bare too.

What an epic day. I had faceshots and rode freshlines all day!! One of the best days for me I think this season. Worth skipping work or school over :P

    Just like to add……

today ranks as one of the best this season – and we have had a LOT of sweet days also, probably the best runs ive had off of the peak and million dollars in 9 seasons here!!

thanks mother nature, el Nino and good old WB for making it happen for us all!

Someone recently showed me a first person shot of Air Jordan, but I couldn’t find it. Let me know if you can :)

      Nasty!

I once saw a skier do a back-flip on the first drop and some kind of rodeo of the second (maybe other way around). That was impressive.

Haven’t seen any POV footage though.
