Am I Dreaming ?????

Seriously, we are getting so much snow my life seems surreal.

If you actually read the ‘Conditions’ segment of the snow data above you will see it says ‘Bottomless’. You are probably going – ‘Yeah, right….’. Well, it is not much of a lie when I say the GROOMED runs are bottomless. I have never skied in such conditions. There is so much snow where ever you go. One word of advice – ‘Don’t Stop!’. If you stop, you sink – simple as that.

Seeing as how it is late, as I need to get up tomorrow to ski again, and apparently a picture speaks a thousand words – check this out.

Check out that poor person stuck in the powder. There were a LOT of people in the same situation during the day – myself and everyone with me included.

Below is the famous Air Jordan and the Peak chair waterfall – notice how there is no compulsory air for much of the waterfall – HIGHLY unusual.

In case you are still hoping for Harmony chair to open this weekend, think again and look at these photos.

and just for good measure a few more people stuck in the snow, and then a video :)

The following video shows some friends of mine enjoying the deep powder, then a view from the Red chairlift, then a view of the Harmony chair load station – which is almost buried !!

Looks great! Such good conditions, and the photos tell it all!

  2. lol, literrally up to your armpits. I heard from patrol that they have not even been able to get the cats up to peak and harmony to test and clear the towers and load stations yet this season, my bets are it will be at least until 26th before harmony chair opens…. still so much untouched pow yet to be discovered.

Scott, I am not sure if you even read my post or not. You can see in the pictures and the video that Harmony load station is buried in snow. While I didn’t take any photos of it, Peak Chair load station has had some work done to clear some of the snow, but more is still needed.

Wow! I can’t wait to be there for the first time in 2 weeks! How are the crowds looking? On the runs it seems to be pretty bare compared to what I’m used to! Woo Hoo!

    • Greg says:

      Hi Rit,

Over the weekend, there was a lot of people – however during the week it has been very quiet. It should stay this way for a while, but with all the snow we might see a bit of a pick-up in weekday skiers. Even if it does pick-up, it shouldn’t be anywhere near being ‘busy’.
